I currently teach k-12 art in Savoonga, AK. We are doing Xmas door decoration for our classrooms, But last night our community got a whale. It’s a big deal because it will feed the whole community. I was even given a bag of muktuk/mangtaq. So I did a picture of a bowhead whale to celebrate instead of the traditional Christmas pictures.
@PapaSweets I understand/accept that.
As a total aside I think your work is really good and "unusual" (please excuse me if the word holds negative connotations, I don't know a lot of 'art terms'). NG gets way too many drawings of 'people in poses without a proper background'. ;) It's nice to see things out of the ordinary.
Like 'Keep Movin’' ( https://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/papasweets/keep-movin ). Not only the piece itself is interesting but also pondering the question "I wonder how he created that?" (Don't tell me, please. I want it to remain a mystery.)
Np, I’m just starting out here so still trying to figure out how this works. I think unusual can def be a good thing. I also have a specific project I’ve been adding to so I’m just going to keep doing that. If I can find an audience that’s great, but I’m also just appreciating the individual interactions here.

I like the inclusion of grain and complex patterns in the different layers of the "black" parts of the whale. You should share it with the Art Portal. :)

Thanks! I think for now everything I’m putting in the art portal will be Papa Sweets/OC/Worldbuilding/comics/Animation. Blogging is where I will post things as me not as a character, So more process, political, art teaching or personal stuff.
